A Flexible Smartphone That Can Be Rolled On Your Wrist

When technology is integrated with creativity, you can expect infinite possibilities. Let us take the example of a flexible smartphone!

Flex smartphone

A smartphone sample, with a full colour flexible display and the ability to be rolled up on to your wrist has been developed by a US-based company. It could be either be used as a speaker or straightened into a usual phone in order to receive a call. Once you are done, you can roll it back onto your wrist and move on. The FlexPhone can also be put to use as a fitness tracker to monitor your physical parameters which includes heart rates, distance travelled & steps taken. Weighing at 100gms with a six-millimetre thickness, it is light enough to carry while you go out for a walk. Both the display and the circuitry of the phone are flexible hence making it tough to handle bumps and drops with less chance of breaking. The phone offers 3G connectivity and runs on Android OS. The prototype flexible smartphone has been named as the Innovation Awards Honouree at this year’s CES trade show in Las Vegas.

We will update you with more information on this newest technology once we lay our hands on it. Please let us know about your views on the same in the comment box below.
