Apple and Google will always take digs at each other. Period. Now, it’s time for Android Nougat vs iOS 10. So which one is shaping up to become the most forward-thinking operating system? Let’s find out!

1

User Interface

Apple iOS 10 emphases on interaction using force touch where it has precisely introduced sensors inside the display to spot the amount of force being applied accurately. Another important feature is the support for 3rd party apps to control widget framework and comprise committed widgets scrupulous to different apps.

Android 7 Nougat on the other hand has altered the navigation bar buttons to comprise a new function of ‘Quick Switch’ which can be retrieved by double tapping the recent button to go to the last app that you were using.

Notifications

Apple is making the experience better with the skill to communicate right from your notifications on your lock screen. This newer notification system collaborates with third party apps as well where developers can drive live updates to the notifications.

Android Nougat has also improved the notification system, allowing the users to interact straight from the notifications without opening the app. Google has reformatted the entire notification system in Nougat with a constant width, smaller fonts and notifications loaded in in accord with the apps.

Digital Assistants

Siri, Apple’s AI based digital assistant will now expand a lot of competencies with its latest update. Users will be able to send messages to a particular contact from a definite third party app like WhatsApp or do everyday things like conducting an online search or book a cab, ask for directions, set alarms, schedules, notifications, reminders and making calls by simply commanding Siri to do so.

On the other hand, even though Google has its Google Now, it does not have so many mechanization, but the contribution is progressively refining with each communication and we could see it coming in a more inclusive way with the upcoming Google Pixel line-up.

Messaging

Apple has titivated its messaging service, iMessage from scratch, now toting more social features with a lot of shimmer and flash.

On the other hand, even though Google has its new messaging service ‘Google Allo,’ the efforts to develop messaging appear to be dispersed with Messaging, Hangouts, and Google Allo.

Music app

The music app on iOS 10 has acquired a great alteration. It has now a more simplified and an easier to steer interface. On the other hand on Android Play Music is still better because it is constructed on both streaming and individually downloaded songs, signifying that it really cares about music fans no matter how they like to get their tunes.

It’s never an easy job to compare both the mobile operating systems. It’s safe to say that iOS 10 has more enhancements and cool features compared to Android Nougat. However, taken as a whole, both the operating systems are more alike in features than ever before. Either way, both platforms will be great additions to the space.

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
