Asus ZenBook Flip UX360 Convertible Ultra-Portable Laptop Available Now

Asus launched ZenBook Flip UX360 – a laptop that’s also a tablet. The display is designed to rotate 360-degrees and shows off a 276 ppi 13.3 – inch full-HD IPS touchscreen display. The 360-degree hinges are torture-tested with more than 20,000 open/close movements to ensure you get only the best. Moreover, it has a smooth finish, so that the users can move the display in one go. The ZenBook dons an all-metal body, is about 13.9mm thick and yet manages to weigh only 1.3 kilograms. Overall the design of the laptop is sleek and flaunts the ‘zen’ inspired pattern it has on all its phones – a spun-metal finish with concentric circles.

1Asus plans to launch another version with a QHD display sometime later. The touchpad of the ZenBook Flip UX360, makes use of Asus Smart Gesture technology. The company claims that the touch features exclusively developed for smartphone touchpads and is highly sensitive as well inaccurate.

The laptop, at the moment, is available to buy in the US and comes built-in with Windows 10. The ZenBook proves to be the best choice for a great Windows 10 experience as the new Continuum modeis optimized to suit both laptop mode and tablet mode. Asus has come out with three variants for the ZenBook Flip, where the basic model is priced at $699 which comes up to about INR 47,000 while the premium model is priced at $799, which is about INR 53,000 and come with 256 GB and 512 GB storage respectively. They also have another variant, which comes with 128 GB internal storage, although its price hasn’t been declared as of now. The ZenBook Flip collection will be made available in two colours – Mineral Grey and Icicle Gold.

2To top this, ZenBook Flip’s Battery – which is a 3-cell 54WHr polymer battery – lasts up to 10 hours once charged fully which means that the ‘Ultra-Portable’ model stands up to its name. It flaunts an 8 GB RAM and gives the buyer an option of Intel’s 6th-generation Intel Core M Processor, with two cores and four threads. Plus, all the three chipsets, including Core m3-6Y30, Core m5-6Y54, and Core m7-6Y75, come with Intel HD Graphics 515.

The laptop comes with a Micro-HDMI port, Bluetooth v4.1, a slot for SD Card Reader and has both USB 3.0 Type-C and Type-A ports. Also, it has a Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Intel Widi support.

Other aspect of the Asus ZenBook Flip UX360 is that, it has an ultra-thin heat-pipe that has a 0.5mm-diameter and is made with an alloy of chromium and copper. This heat-pipe helps in keeping the laptop silent, even with the laptop working with all its might.

On the audio front, the Flip UX360 laptop is powered by Asus SonicMaster audio technology, which is a great feature as it helps enhance the sound of the device. The superior hardware along with a smartly designed software is what gives any ZenBook a definitive sound experience.

Amazing display with a slim and sophisticated design, what more does one want?!

Mobile Upgrades: Killing The Product Before Its Time?

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
