This app works on the functionality of IR Blasters. It is packed with basic features which work for some and don’t for some others. It’s available for free on google play and also works on Wifi and external IR Blaster in case your device does not have one.

This is an advanced remote control app and works very well for Samsung and HTC devices… On setting up it gives you detailed options to set up your device. Few of its features allow you to set options like mute the TV when a call comes through, or change a channel one up with the wave of hand over the phone etc. This app is chargeable but is worth the money paid. It also lets you restore and backup settings.

4. Twinone IR Remote

This app is compatible with home theatres and one can control Mac, Windows and Linux Computers.  It has an option of enabling keyboard and mouse and thus you can type and search for videos too. It also comes with built-in support for 90 apps including media players, power control, file management, and others.

6. TV Specific Remote

As the name suggests, these apps are TV specific. For Instance a LG TV has a LG TV remote app and here are others for brands like Vizio, Samsung, and many others. These are better than other apps because they work with wifi, are more reliable and stable.
