Clash of the Clans is a very popular game because it is quite simple and even kids can play.

Though there are minimal time constraints, it pushes you to keep a constant look on your village. It is fun, very addictive and more the merrier. So, get your friends to play along and start a war.

The game is fairly straightforward, but there are a couple of things that you need to take into consideration to help you climb the levels and be the best.

Here are few tips that will give you an edge over your opponents.

Keep your resources close

Clash of the clans is a strategy game, and like all strategy games, you need the right resources. It is important to collect as many gems as you can and store them instead of spending them on trivial things like using them to speed your time-constrained level. Focus on resource collection instead of building an army; try to burn down more villages to collect resources and build the maximum number of Gold and Elixir collectors.

Don’t Let Your Opponent Spawn Inside Your Village

Don’t build your walls bigger than you need because your opponent can come inside and wreak havoc. Fill in the space and move in your walls because the more room you give, the closer your opponents can come and create havoc.

To create zero space, move your building and pay attention to any negative space.  As long as there are no empty spaces, your opponent will have to attack you from outside. Always keep your defenses up.

Work with your shields

The game allows you to purchase shield time, during that time the other players can’t attack you.  There is another way to get shield instead of paying for them with real money. When you have taken a beating, the game will throw up a shied for a set amount of time. Both shields can help you if you are totally wiped out.  Pay attention to your shield time and use that to fix your village.

Play the single player missions

In single player missions, you can use your clan to attack goblin villages, even if your shields are up.  If you play it smart and don’t jump 100 warriors on the field, it is a good way to make some cash.

You can also use the single player missions to unlock triumphs, which earns you small amounts of Gems each time.  Since goblins villages are built differently from human villages, as there are more walls, it is a good way to learn the best way to take out defense turrets.  Moreover, you can play the same missions over and over again and try new tactics even though you don’t get any pay out for round two.

The next time you play, keep these things in mind, they will help you play longer. For those who are yet to play, what are you waiting for go ahead and download it.

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
