Over time the camera has become the first thing that many people look at when deciding on a mobile phone and that can be the main reason for success or failure for a particular cell phone model.
Although iPhone 6 has an 8 megapixel camera, the introduction of the phase-detection autofocus results in a faster speed of auto-focusing of this cell phone. When the surrounding is well illuminated, the iPhone 6’s auto focusing is quick and accurate. The same holds true for indoor shots, but not always as the images at times lack sharpness. Video recording is flawless with accurate auto focusing and clear image effects.
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Xperia Z3 has a 20.7 megapixel camera and captures remarkable pictures under good illumination and low light conditions. In most situations, the colors are satisfactory but there are times when the flash is turned on, the color reproduction of the photos seems inaccurate.
Samsung GALAXY S5
Samsung GALAXY S5 with its 16 megapixel camera offers high imaging quality, the photos appear vivid, and the details are also remarkable. It also features very good focusing speed during shooting. Under the low light conditions, the noise is high and the texture details are a bit lost.
IPhone 6 Plus
Similar to the iPhone 6, the 6 plus has an 8 megapixel camera with an added feature of optical image stabilizer. This helps provide low or anti-noise performance during low light conditions. When compare to the iPhone 6, photos shot with iPhone 6 plus under the HDR mode tend to fewer ghosting in contrast to iPhone 6, the photos shot with iPhone 6 plus seemed to feature fewer ghosting under the HDR mode which can be attributed to the availability of the optical Image Stabilizer
Sony Xperia Z2
The Z2 featuring a 20.7 megapixel, shoots pictures in quite impressive colors and details both outdoors and under low lighting conditions. The photos shot by Sony Xperia Z2 also feature the excellent noise control. Videos can be recorded with 4K resolution, and also supports the effects of high-speed and slow motion.
It is clear that pixels need not necessary relate to high image quality and that all of the cameras have their special functions and features
Even though iPhone 6 plus has the lowest pixels, its performance was really stable and in low light conditions. All this can be attributed to the function of the optical image stabilizer with better color representation, least noise in low light conditions and reduced ghosting in the HDR mode.
