The Chinese mobile giant OnePlus, stayed true to their motto “Never Settle” with the introduction of the upgraded version of the Oneplus3, the OnePlus3T. The phone not only has impressive specs, but also has a good feel about it. Since its introduction, the OnePlus range has always focused on wowing the consumer with its spectacular specs, hardware and quality and this time around it’s no different.

Design

The OnePlus3T is designed to deliver the best user experience. The details of the design get lost in the fight for more megabytes and megapixels. The OnePlus3T is created from a single slab of premium grade aluminium alloy for a sleeker and stronger built. The phone measures a 7.3mm and the metal unibody is light and comfortable to hold with cleverly designed soft curves and lines. The camera is shielded by a layer of sapphire glass for maximum protection.

Hardware

The upgraded version runs on the OxygenOS-based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and has a 5.5inch screen (1080×1920) with optic AMOLED display. Furthermore, the phone is protect by Corning Glass 4 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC (with two 1.6GHz Kyro cores and two 2.35GHz Kyro cores) along with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In addition, the Alert Slider allows you complete control over your notifications and pop-ups.  You can access the three customizable settings without even touching your phone.  Control all your notification, priority notifications or silence the phone with just a slide. The dash charger, charges 60% of your phone battery in less than 30 minutes. With a 3300mAh battery pack you won’t have to worry about not being connected.

Camera

The OnePlus3T features a 16 megapixel sensors both in the front and at the back, giving a professional look to your everyday images. The smart feature technology makes taking the perfect shot a breeze. Like being in control of your selfies? The very effective manual mode enables you to control every detail of your picture taking experience. The advanced front facing camera helps you live stream in HD and capture each moment beautifully. Shooting in low light? Expecting horrible picture? That’s all passé with the intelligent front facing camera. The camera combines pixels to bring in more light into image and reduces the noise; resulting in brighter and more vibrant pictures.

Through the manual mode, you can fine-tune exposure, ISO, focus and much more. Since the phone supports RAW images, you get DSLR quality pictures with ease of a smartphone. Also, dual stabilization makes shaky pictures a thing of the past.

Launch date

The Oneplus3T is priced at Rs 29,999 for the 64GB model and Rs 34,999 for the 128GB variant, making this model the company’s most expensive model so far.  Both variants were available exclusively on Amazon India from midnight onwards, December 14.

So, if you are looking for a phone which is high on technology as well as class, then this the right phone for you. Though the price is a steep, but the phone checks all boxes.

Mobile Upgrades: Killing The Product Before Its Time?

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.
