Everything Leaked About Samsung’s Galaxy S8

The all new Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to be launched on March 29 and so far a host of details of the exciting new device have already been leaked. Here is everything that the rumours and leaks have revealed so far.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected in two sizes, one with a 5.8 inch display and another with a 6.2 inch screen. Both touchscreens will be of QHD Super AMOLED quality and will have an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Additionally, fans of Samsung’s unique ‘Edge’ smartphones can rejoice as the new smartphones are both said to include this feature.

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor in the Asian markets, while it will run on the Exynos SoC in other markets. It is also said to include a stellar RAM that has a capacity of 6GB. This will offer a smooth and powerful multitasking capability and even allow users to run heavy Android games. The lower budget version of the device will most likely offer a RAM capacity of 4GB.

In terms of the battery, the Galaxy S8 will most likely feature a primary camera of 12MP and a front camera of 8MP. If this is the case, the camera is sure to impress as Samsung has a history of delivering premium quality lenses and images.

Samsung’s lower-range Galaxy S8 is expected to be powered by a 3000mAh capacity battery, while the higher-range model will pack a 3500mAh battery. Both of these should offer approximately a day to one and a half days’ worth of battery life.

Several supposed leaked images of the new Samsung Galaxy S8 show the phone with a slim metal body with ultra-thin bezels present on the bottom and top. The trademark Samsung dual-curved edged screen will remain. The home button has been removed and instead the buttons have been integrated into the display. There is also a fingerprint scanner that can be found on the rear below the camera.

The range of connectivity options for the devices will include a USB Type-C port, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and others. Samsung has also thankfully opted to keep the 3.5mm headphone jack! The smartphone is also expected to include an iris scanner for added security.

In addition to this, Samsung’s brand new personal assistant named Bixby is said to be offered with the Galaxy S8. So for all those waiting to buy Samsung’s new flagship device, the wait has certainly been worth it!
