With the launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, Samsung has managed to silence all the criticism about their devices. The new Galaxy smartphone is nothing like the old Galaxy handsets in its build quality or user experience.

They have designed the new devices from scratch and altered all the possible features of the phone, right from the look to the user interface.  Let’s take a closer look at the top features these two smartphones have to offer.

Handy Gadgets

Both Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge do not let their users negotiate at any part as it comes with Microsoft apps already installed. On the settings menu, the interface in these smartphones is more streamlined when compared to the previous Samsung smartphones.

Appearance

Previous phones of Samsung usually were in either black or white, but this time, users have been given more choices. The device comes in four colors – white, black, gold and blue. On the other hand, the S6 Edge will also follow the same color options of S6 except in the place of blue; it will be available in green.

Build

Always disparaged for the build quality of its smartphones, Samsung has now built both S6 and S6 Edge with glass and metal. It comes with a metal frame and glass back with the glass back being shinny but not reflective. Overall, these natural elements on the phone have made it a hot favorite.

User interface

TouchWiz UI has upgraded a lot, which is built on Android 5.0 Lollipop on the phone. The UI now offers a more refined interface with labeled options adding up to the flexibility for the users. The feature ‘People’ panel is exclusively for S6 Edge; its extended screen can show your favorite contacts and notifications on the side. Along with that, you can assign various colors to your contacts when they call you.

 Fingerprint Scanner

Previous phones like Galaxy S5 had the fingerprint scanner too, but when you had to assign your fingerprint, you had to swipe your finger on the home button. However, on the new S6 and S6 Edge you simply have to place your finger on the home button.

Better Charging

Both the devices support wireless and fast charging technology too. The devices are friendly with different types of wireless charging pads that are available in the market. The fast charging feature lets you charge 50 percent of the battery within 30 minutes.

 Samsung Pay

All the new phones from Samsung will carry a feature called ‘Samsung Pay’. This lets the user pay his/her bills at stores with regular credit card readers and NFC enabled readers. This feature has not made a debut as yet but it will soon be put in to play.

Mobile Upgrades: Killing The Product Before Its Time?

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
