Known for its Bluetooth accessories, this Danish company has really worked hard to make in the audio world that is related to fitness. By launching products like Sports Rox and Jabra Sports Pulse shows that the manufacturer is keen to make it big in this segment. The latest addition is the Sport Coach which is wireless Bluetooth headset. It is in-ear and Dolby sporting headset.

Let us review if it is ideal for your workout.

Specifications

Bulky and made of plastic looks very similar to Sports Pulse. You will find the battery and charging port placed in the right earpiece. A motion sensor that helps to measure distance, calories burned, your pace etc. will be found on the left ear piece. Made of plastic, it weighs 16 gms.

Just like Jabra Sport Pulse, the headset features winged look. It is made to give you a more firm fit which is essential when you work out as you sweat a lot. This does cut down the noise, but it can be risky as you cannot hear the surrounding noises. They can be uncomfortable as they do not have proper cushioning.

You can slip the short cable behind your neck and it also connects the earpieces. Also, the cable has the volume control button and the power button plus the microphone. On the left, you will find a button to answer calls. The power button can be used for playing and pausing the music. Since the cable is short be assured that it will not tangle.

The headset needs to be charged often as the battery can last up to only 4 hours. So please ensure to charge it regularly. The Bluetooth functions well, but same cannot be said about NFC. It shares good compatibility with Sport Life which is an app designed by Jabra.

Jabra Sport Life helps you to set exercise goals be it cycling, running and walking. It has a GPS feature which helps you to track you speed, distance and route. It has built-in voice feature which can guide you.

Performance

It delivers crisp sounds due to the sonic isolation feature. So you will not have muddled sound and have an awesome listening experience. The bass and treble have been given equal weight making the sound quality clear. You will find balance in sound quality leaving you impressed.

Summary

Jabra Sport Coach is a combination because it has certain features that perform well and then there are other features then are not so good. Bluetooth, power and NFC function very okay whereas it has a great monitor and voice coaching. Due to Dolby tuning it delivers great sound quality. It is portable and does not tangle a lot. If you can overlook the negatives, you will love the performance.

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
