Chinese tech manufacturer LeEco, released an array of new products at the launch in San Francisco on Wednesday evening. Among the range of products debuted was the LePro 3 smartphone, which are being touted as upper-end priced premium device.

The high-end LePro model features a display of 5.5 inches with a screen resolution of 1080 pixels. This full-HD display will deliver a high-quality video watching experience. A textured aluminium casing makes up the body, making it easy to grip. Instead of the round button that was previously seen, there is now a ‘Le’ logo as the home button.

Fitted with the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor and a stunning 4GB of RAM, this device is powerful to say the least. The Processor and the RAM work together to give you a multitasking experience beyond average. So not only can you easily switch between apps like document editors, the internet and your camera, but you can also pause and play games at the same time. For those who are looking for a device that can support heavy Android gaming, this phone is a great option. The LePro 3 also comes with Le’s EUI 5.8 interface integrated into Android Marshmallow.

A primary camera of 16 megapixels is placed behind with an LED flash beside it. For selfies lovers, the front camera with 8 megapixels is certain to be appealing. The camera includes features like white balance, ISO and exposure controls, panorama, slow motion and 4K video recording as well.

There is an inbuilt storage capacity of 64GB that is non-expandable. However this memory space should be enough to store all your applications, photos and other data. One of the biggest selling points of the LePro 3, is the massive battery that has a capacity of 4070mAh. Using the quick-charge capability, you can charge your device almost 33 percent in about 20 minutes.

Similar to LeEco’s earlier models, the LePro 3 smartphone has no headphone jack. Instead it uses a 3.5mm adaptor that connects the Type-C USB port to any headphones. Two stereo speakers are placed on either side of the USB port, at the bottom of the device.

The LePro 3 is expected to be priced at approximately Rs. 26,700 and it will be released in the Indian market in December. This is the first of LeEco’s products that have been launched in the North American market and it is yet to be seen whether the products will succeed there or not.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
