Lenovo Launches the Impressive K6 Power

Lenovo has just launched its latest smartphone, the Lenovo K6 Power and with the unveiling of its specifications, the smartphone is clearly a challenger to Xiaomi’s power-packed and pocket-friendly devices. Here’s a look at everything the phone offers.

The K6 is fitted with a full-HD display of 5 inches and a pixel density of 441 ppi (pixels per inch). So not only the viewing and image quality be sharp, the colours are sure to be bright and bold. Lenovo has integrated its newest technology called the TheaterMax, which is said to deliver a ‘massive virtual screen experience’.

Packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor which runs at 1.4GHz. Though this isn’t the newest processor by far, it functions well enough. There is in-built Adreno 505 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 3GB of RAM that will allow basic Android gaming and multitasking between movies, internet browsing and even light games. All without any lag!

The storage capacity of 32GB can be expanded using an external microSD card of up to 256GB, which is more than enough for all storage needs.

One of the features that Lenovo is touting as their key selling point, is the battery which has a capacity of 4000mAh. This is said to offer a battery life of approximately two days which using 3G and regular browsing. Lenovo has even introduced a new feature called reverse charging, which allows the phone to be used as a charger for other devices too!

For those looking for a budget smartphone with a good camera, the K6 Power is one of the better options. Fitted with a SONY IMX258 primary camera of 13 megapixels, users can enjoy capturing images with settings like the Slow Motion mode, Manual Pro mode, Time Lapse, Phase Detection Autofocus, Touch Focus, HDR and Panorama. There is even an LED flash placed on the rear. The front camera of 8 megapixels will allow users to take crisp and visually impressive selfies and also enjoy a high-quality video calling experience. This secondary camera has features like a wide lens, Multiple Snap Modes and automatic beautification.

The phone runs on the Android v6.0 Marshmallow and has Lenovo’s Pure UI, which looks and functions similar to the Android stock version. Some interesting features that Lenovo has added are the ability to runs applications under two profiles and take long screen shots. These features were first made available on the Xiaomi MIUI 8 OS however.

Featuring a sleek design with a metal-unibody that has chamfered edges, the K6 Power certainly looks good. While the design does not really differ all that much from most other smartphones available in the market today, we have a feeling that most users will not complain for the price it is offered at.

The phone has a fingerprint scanner, two stereo speakers on the rear and buttons for volume and power on the right side. The headphone jack and microUSB charging port can be found on the top, which makes using the device easy while charging. Available in dark grey, gold and silver, the K6 Power is priced at Rs. 9,999 and is available exclusively on Flipkart. With features like these offered at a mid-range price, it is sure to give other budget smartphones a healthy challenge.
