Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga X1: Premium And Powerful

1

If you are looking to buy a convertible laptop that is sleek and powerful too, Lenovo’s recently released 2-in-1 lap-tab, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga is a great multi-capable option. This laptop which includes some of the best features from the Lenovo Yoga series, is now being heralded as the lightest convertible business laptop available.

The hinge of the Yoga X1 can rotate up to 360 degrees and has several points at which it stops so you can either keep it flat in your lap or place it on a table like a tent.

Equipped with an OLED touchscreen of 14 inches, the 2K display is 2560 pixels by 1440 pixels with 300 nits. The quality is stunning with crisp images and bright true colours even in glaring sunlight.

For navigation, you can choose to use either the touchscreen or the inbuilt keyboard which has its own back-lighting. The keys are curved and spaced out comfortably for an optimal typing capability. The touchpad is large and has three buttons placed at the top for the left and right-click option. If you do not wish to use the touchpad however, Lenovo has fitted a TrackPoint mouse that is a joystick-like feature found on most ThinkPad laptops.

Powered by 4GB of RAM and an Intel Core i5 processor that runs at a speed of 2.4GHz, the performance of the lap-tab is quick and has the ability to handle heavy-duty photo and video editing software without heating up or slowing down. The lap-tab runs on a 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro and has a 128MB graphics processing unit (GPU) from Intel HD Graphics.

With 3 USB ports and an input for an HDMI cable, you might expect the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga X1 to be bulky, but the body is thin and has managed to shed some grams without compromising on features.

One feature of this laptop that may seem underwhelming is the audio. It is suggested that you buy a good pair of headphones along with this laptop, as the inbuilt speakers are not very loud unless you are using the lap-tab as a table-top tablet in the tent mode.

The Lenovo Yoga X1 has a storage capacity of 256GB, which is just enough to handle all the essential applications you may need to use. Priced at Rs. 1,54,999 for the base model, there is no question that this powerful laptop is a premium business product.

Mobile Upgrades: Killing The Product Before Its Time?

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
