Make Albums With This New Instagram Feature
Instagram has finally launched a new feature that allows you to group photos and videos!
The much-awaited feature is dubbed ‘Album’ and allows users to post not only multiple photos but also several videos at the same time.
The company which is owned by Facebook has now unveiled that users have the ability to group anywhere upto 10 images and videos into a post at one time, so that followers can simply swipe to view them. So instead of clogging up your followers’ feed, you can simply combine all your photos from a single event or location into one post.
In a blogpost by Instagram, the company said, “Whether you’re creating a step-by-step tutorial, recapping a surprise birthday party or sharing a collection from your recent getaway, you can now share more than just one moment without worrying about over-posting to your feed.”
Advertisers also have a reason to celebrate with this update, as advertisers can now add a carousel of up to 10 videos or photos with a different design in a dynamic order. This means that they can easily display more of their products and content by adding numerous images in just one post.
Here’s how you use the new feature:
Simply launch Instagram and click on the button to upload. From here you will have to click on the new icon which says Share Multiple.
You can then choose whether or not you would like to edit each photo and video one at a time or simply add a filter to all you images at one go. Switch around the order of your videos or photos by tapping on them and dragging them either left or right. This is also the action you must use if you wish to remove a photo from the collection.
However while this individual editing is possible with filters and tagging, the caption and post will be standard for all your images. Also, users will receive likes and comments for the post as a whole. So if you wish to make one image truly stand-out, it is best that you stick to posting it individually rather than as a collection.
The most prominent addition to Instagram in the recent past was the Stories feature, which has taken over despite being inspired by Snapchat.
