Most Awaited Gadgets For Tech Geeks
This year is surely going to be a joyride for tech-geeks, who have been waiting with bated breath for their favourite gadgets to finally hit the market. 2016 promises some very interesting gadgets which buyers cannot wait for, with science and technology pushing the barriers of creativity.
Occulus Rift and Touch
2016 is surely going to be the year for virtual reality. The first product expected to hit the market is the Oculus Rift. This Facebook-owned Virtual Reality system will be the first of its kind ever to be made. It will require a PC and will function normally with an X-Box Controller. This arrangement will be a temporary one, following which motion-controlled Touch controllers will be available in the market. Occulus promises to transport users to another world altogether, with its unique feel and experience.
Once the headgear is put on, users are automatically subjected to different visual and aesthetic stimulus that almost feels other-worldly. It is a true treat for the senses and promises to be a must-have for tech geeks looking for a new experience.
This device is Microsoft’s entry into the Virtual Reality market. Not necessarily virtual, but definitely augmented. The Microsoft HoloLens is a standalone system that puts computer-generated objects into the user’s line of sight. It promises buyers a never-before-seen experience, where, once developed, different objects like regular household items, make-believe houses etc. will be computer generated and put into the line of sight of the user.
If rumours are to be believed, Apple is readying itself to launch the second edition of its ‘Apple Watch’. This watch has become a favourite with tech-geeks due to its easy user interface and stylish design. The new watch is believed to have an integrated camera for FaceTime calls and will be sleeker than the first edition.
Blu-ray CDs are still a thing and tech-geeks are very fond of high quality videos, be it on a video game or on a movie. To users who appreciate the genuineness, clarity and rarity of 4K Blu-Ray quality, it promises the best in-home pictures yet, complete with improved contrast and color to go with all those pixels. The Samsung UBD-K8500 Player will be the first to play these CDs and promise a unique experience.
This gadget is Sony’s official entry into the Virtual Reality market. Unlike the PC-based Oculus helmets, PlayStation VR will work with Sony’s PlayStation 4. It promises a one-of-a-kind gaming experience, with gamers being treated to an almost 100% accurate simulation of the game they are playing, right down to technical details involving environment, sights and sounds and visual and sensory stimulus. Tech-geeks and gaming fanatics are sure to have a field-day with this device and will be treated to a gaming experience which can only be described as almost enviable.
