We are all aware iOS8 was the biggest transformation for iPhone, as compared to its previous version of iOS7. Currently, with the latest release of Apple’s iOS9, both the old and the new iPhone’s have innovative qualities, that will add to its usability. Once you move to iOS 9, take time to inspect the Settings app to fine-tune it to your own likes.

Battery:

Battery saving is one of the most vital feature for any Smartphone. The former iPhone models were average when it came to battery life. In iOS9, Battery Menu allows you to manually switch to Low Power Mode as soon as your battery reaches 20 percent and again at 10 percent respectively. This feature will save on the battery life even when the phone is in standby mode.

Notifications:

There is not many changes in the notifications, but when you choose ‘Recent’ you will get to see the notifications in reverse sequence, meaning the newest one will always be on top.  Also you get a change for Group By App, which means each app’s notifications will be displayed together, recent on top. When a new notification comes in, all the notifications for that app will feature on the top of the list.

Picture in Picture Use:

If you are using iOS 9 on an iPad, and you are using a supported app, then you should seek the help of the picture-in-picture technology, embedded in the new software: when viewing a video full-screen, click the icon in the lower right-hand corner to minimize it.

Cellular:

Not new updates in the Cellular settings, with the exemption of SIM PIN, which used to be in the Phone settings, and is now present in Cellular. This allows you to put a distinct PIN code on your SIM card, so, if phone is stolen or misplaced, no one can use your SIM card in another device.

Your iPhone or iPad will ask you to enter the SIM pin whenever you remove your SIM which you undoubtedly do not do it frequently. However when you reboot the device. SIM PIN is off by default, so if you want to use it, you will turn it on. Your SIM has a default PIN on it already. Hence you will be permitted to get the SIM PIN right within three tries or your SIM will be locked.

Multiple Photo Selection:

In iOS 9, you can now choose several photos and drag it together, which the older iOS versions did not feature. After you have tapped Select in the Photos app, you can tap to choose the images you want to play around with, rather than having to tap on them separately.

Write On Email Attachments:

This is the best feature in the iOS 9 update for iPhone as it allows the users to write on any attachments that they receive or if they want to forward those marked attachments to others. You have to look for the Mark-up button which shows when you click on the attachment and press and hold on that specific attachment to write on it.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
