Nokia’s 18.4-Inch Tablet With Mammoth Display
Nokia is back and with a bang! One of the world’s most favourite brands is not just returning to the smart phone market but also seems to be making inroads in the tablets market. They have already got a great response for their Nokia 6 device and are ready to launch the Nokia P1 and Nokia P8. Now, they have entered the tablet market with a whopping 18.4 inch tablet.
As per certain reports, the company is working on a tablet which will be a 2650 X 1440 pixel device. The operating system may run on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. The report also mentioned that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with a 4GB RAM and Adreno 540 GPU.
Benchmarking site GFXBench also revealed that the tablet will house 64GB storage and users will be able to use 52 GB for apps and content. On the camera front, it is expected to house a 12 MP rear camera and will have the ability to record 4K resolution. Also, there is a 12MP front-facing camera which will also be able to record at 4K resolution. Further, there are talks about the software being developed by FIH Mobile, a Foxconn subsidiary. In addition, the tablet will be equipped with 4g LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.
The Nokia tablet is predicted to compete with the Samsung Galaxy View Tablet that also houses an 18.4 inch display along with full-HD resolution (1080 X1920 pixels). The specifications may wary so it is best to wait and watch. So before running to the closet store, wait for it to be an official announcement.
As of now, there is no mention on pricing and availability but making its presence felt on a benchmarking site, says something. However, this is not the first time Nokia has shown up on the benchmarking site.
