When you look back and get nostalgic, we are sure you will also remember the gadgets in your childhood and your teens. We are sure it feels just like yesterday that Motorola came up with the trendy phones and Nokia with its sturdy phones. Let’s peek into the past and look at the legendary gadgets.

First Xbox

Launched in 2001 by Microsoft, Xbox was designed after a partnership of Sega and Windows. It did bring a major change in the world of gaming and took it to the next level. It opened the doors to the world of gaming. Microsoft took a long time to come up with this video game console. The Xbox was first talked about in 1999 by CEO Bill Gates during an interview where he stated that gaming or multimedia device was vital for the multimedia union for the future.

First iPod

Apple’s innovative gadget which finally changed our outlook towards the music. At the preliminary junctures the iPod expected much uncertainty, but progressively the invention changed and met the customers’ expectancy. In 2001, the first iPod came into being with 5 GB hard drive, splendid battery life and allowed you to carry 1000 songs in your pocket. The device worked only in Macs and was priced $ 399.

Motorola RAZR

Motorola designed this stylish and ultra-modern phone which charmed everyone. The Motorola RAZR appeared modernistic and it was loaded with striking features during that time.

The flip design, the glossy and shiny body and the smallness that allowed you to carry it with ease were the features which made it popular. The phone was also appealingly lightweight, weighing only 6 grams.The inventive RAZR was made of aluminum alloy body and later models came with metallic red and blue colors.

Nokia 3310

Nokia 3310, transformed the way we connected with people, it actually inspired many to have a mobile phone. The phone had some unusual features of that year, which included the calculator, Nokia network monitor, stopwatch and the reminder function.

Everyone loved the games it had — Snake II, Pairs II, Space Impact, and Bantumi. Nokia 3310 was very well-known for text messaging as it allowed to type long messages and it also included threaded SMS writing in the name of SMS Chat. One more good feature in the device was its speedy dialing feature with fixed numbers.

Japan was the first place where DVDs were launched. It happened in 1996. USA got them in 1997. It transformed the way everyone handled media. It transformed the way we saved our entertainment in the digital format and the watched movies. The year 2003 was popular for DVDs when the sales and rentals went very high.

Mobile Upgrades: Killing The Product Before Its Time?

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.
