OnePlus 5 Rumours

OnePlus

The OnePlus 3T has been recently released and the company is already talking about releasing a new phone, the OnePlus 5. Ideally, the next one should have been called the OnePlus 4, but the company has decided to drop the number 4. Apparently, the number 4 is not considered to be a good number by the Chinese and therefore the Chinese smartphone manufacturer decided to drop the number and introduce the OnePlus 5.

OnePlus entered the market as a small Chinese player, but in the last three years it has quickly climbed up the ranks and is all-ready to release another phone. The Chinese giant opened its offering by using an invite system and since then the company has never looked back. Now with the rumors surrounding the release of the OnePlus 5, they are only growing from strength to strength. They have redefined the smartphone business by eating into the shares of major players and showing their dominance.

According to rumors, the OnePlus 5 will have a ceramic or glass frame. Opting for the ceramic option would make more sense as the phone company has already launched a variant with the same frame, the OnePlus X. If the Chinese manufacturer decides to replicate the OnePlus X, then in all probability the OnePlus 5 will have a back plate made of ceramic. There are also talks that the OnePlus 5 will have beveled edges like other players in the category and will be launched in Midnight Black.

On the specifications front, the OnePlus 5 is likely to be furnished with 256 GB storage space, which is quite a jump from what is available in the OnePlus 3T. The 8GB RAM and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 together create a very powerful machine. In addition, the phone is likely to have a curved screen on both sides, like one of its competitors. Also, the phone in all probability will have a 23 Megapixel rear camera and a 16 megapixel front camera. Further, it will have an enhanced resolution of WQHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) along with a USB Type-C Connector and a huge 4,000mAh battery pack that will ensure your phone never sleeps (runs out of battery).

OnePlus is ready to storm the market and dislodge players beyond 2017 making it one of the most sought after brands. There is still no official announcement of its release date or its price. Even then it’s already creating quite the stir.

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.
