After turning heads with two selfie smartphones, the F1s and F1 Plus, OPPO is back with yet another device that is set to take selfies to the next frame. Oppo A57

The new selfie star comes has a sleek design & a metal unibody that has the camera and Home button moulded into it. Available in both rose gold and gold, the phone is slim and has rounded edges. While the power button is placed on the right, the volume controls can be found on the left. Although the design is similar to its predecessors in many ways, the A57 stands out thanks to its improved specifications.

Featuring an HD LCD display of 5.2 inches with a 2.5 curved-glass, the clarity of this smartphone is of top quality. The A57 smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which clocks a speed of 1.4GHz. Along with this is the Adreno 505 GPU (graphics processing unit) and a RAM of 3GB which makes multitasking between applications a smooth process. Those who require a device with a larger storage capacity, the A57 has 32GB in-built  memory as well as an expandable storage capability of up to 128GB using a microSD card.

As the A57 is being touted as a selfie-smartphone by the company, the camera specifications are the key feature of this device. The phone is fitted with a 16MP primary camera that has an f/2.2 aperture and laser PDAF (phase-detection auto-focus). The front camera of 13MP allows you to capture stunning selfies that are high-quality and have vibrant colours. Making video calls from this phone will also be a great experience.

The OPPO A57 is being offered with a 2900mAh battery that has battery life of approximately one day. This is one disappointing feature that takes away from the phone’s value-for-money rating.

There are a number of connectivity options for this smartphone including dual-SIM capability, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G support, Wi-Fi, OTG support and GPS. The A57 comes with the Android v6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed and has the OPPO user interface, ColorOS 3.0 built over it. Priced at around Rs. 16,000, this phone is a great option for selfie-lovers. Those who require a smartphone for gaming and longevity should probably look for other options.
