The demand for low-priced wireless speakers has increased the competition among tech brands greatly. Chinese technology manufacturer LeEco, recently launched the LeEco Letv Bluetooth Speaker, as their offering for the budget speaker market. Here we have broken down the qualities of the wireless speaker to help decide if this is a worthy purchase.

When you first look at LeEco’s Letv Bluetooth Speaker, you will notice that while the design is not fancy, it still looks attractive. Available in blue, orange, blue and pink, the speaker has a rectangular shaped body with rounded sides. The speaker which can be placed either on its side or vertically, has a rubber-padded bottom that acts as a grip. This makes it easy to hold and carry around.

Two front-facing speakers are placed besides each other, with a third speaker for bass speaker on the other side. The speakers are protected by a metal grill on all sides. For controls, there is one button placed on the top which is used to toggle it on and off, play and pause music, connect to devices and answer calls as well. However to navigate forwards and backwards and change the volume, you will have to do so from your device itself.

The Letv speakers have a battery with a 1200mAh capacity that is charged via the microUSB port on the back. The battery life is approximately eight hours in all after it is fully charged. Though it does not have an auxiliary input, the Bluetooth of the speaker is fairly easy to connect. With an inbuilt microphone, it can even be used for easy hands-free communication.

Sound quality of the LeEco Letv is strong and clear, with a decent bass range. While the volume is very loud, the bass tends to lose its deep tone at the highest volume. The placement of the speakers offers a stereo sound experience of up to 270 degrees. A clean mid-range tone lends a hands-free talking experience that is free of any jarring sounds.

While LeEco is known for its budget smartphones, the company also offers a range of other audio products like the Leme Bluetooth headphones. The quality LeEco Letv Bluetooth Speaker is available online and is priced at Rs. 1499.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
