Reviewing The New PS4 Slim

Sony maintains the standard of introducing a slimmer version of Play Station- PS4 Slim

Play Station series was introduced in 1994 and with every upgraded version Sony has always managed to introduce a smaller and a slimmer version of the series. While compressing the elements has become standard for the PS series, we were astonished to see an even more compact version of an already brilliant piece of gaming hardware.PS4 Slim

While it looked more or less the same size as the original PS4, the dimensions of the PS4 Slim are 264 x 39 x 288mm, which is a huge decrease in size as compared to the original size of 275 x 53 x 305mm. the height of PS4 is cut off by one third of its original height, and a few centimetres from all the sides.

The PS4 Slim with reduced dimensions is a perfect fit for packed entertainment centres or desks. A few months after the introduction of the PS4 Slim, we can claim that it lives up to the sleek appendix. It’s cramped enough to fit in a 13-inch MacBook Air laptop case easily, as well as occupying a comfortable corner in your entertainment set up.

The weight of the PS4 Slim is much lighter as compared to the original PS4. Sony claims it’s 30 percent lighter, but incorporated with its low profile, it’s amazingly movable for a gadget designed for gaming at home. In simple words, it is a perfect match for on-the-go players. It has an all matte-finish with rounded corners.

The buttons are rounded and automated. There’s a delicate indication that lets you know when you’ve turned it on or off. Paired with this is a dotted light indicator that gives you an understandable visual response of whether the PS4 is on, off, or in Rest Mode.

The few advantages of the PS4 Slim are that it is slimmer than it looks, has mechanical buttons, better power indicator, runs cooler and comes with a 5Ghz Wi-Fi whereas there are a few disadvantages as well that are the hard drive panel is fragile and there is no optical output for audio.

PS4

The PS4 is a sleek gaming piece which is completely worth what it has been priced at, especially in India. The US and Europe markets continue to maintain a $100 price difference between the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. In India, the price difference is Rs. 11,000, where the cheapest PS4 Slim costs Rs. 27,990.

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
