Shooting off e-mails to delegate work and tasks is satisfying; it allows you to take off your load for you daily schedule at brisk speed. But nowadays, most of us are turning to the keyboard for more than delegating tasks and setting up meetings. Technology makes it easier to raise debatable topics while avoiding conflicts. And in our hectic life, typed-out messages are an easy way out even for the significant conversations that keep people bonded. So do you really think it is“OK” to do it?

Well, it might not be a good idea…

There are several disadvantages of email and text messages. E-mails and texts have become safe options for people who are escapists. You can overlook messages, avoid answering questions you do not like; plus, you never have to see how much you have hurt someone. You might miss out on the valuable lessons you learn while interacting with the person in reality. Let us understand the disadvantages it can lead to.

Communication Gap

Although texting is accepted to be a quicker and appropriate way to communicate with your loved one, it can also prove time wasting when you have to resolve misunderstandings caused by too much texting. Numerous texts might be exchanged in an effort to understand one another, and the end result may be a fight that requires the two of you talk via phone or in person. Coming to the awareness that it is often better to communicate with spoken words can save you a lot of sorrow in the future.

Hacking Emails and Messages

Not only writing e-mails and texts at time can make the relationship waters muddy but snooping on your loved one’s private messages when you suspect them of hiding something can backfire. Hacking password codes to sneak a peek at a partner’s private messages signals big trust problems. While e-mail may confirm infidelity suspicions, it will not address any underlying issues leading up to it. Maybe the trust issue can be worked through in counseling. Without knowing the core problem, there is no hope of solving the problem.

Closing Thought

While texting you may feel like you are being more social now that you can text “n” of messages to any of your friends or partners at any given moment of the day, you cannot ever give or receive the full story over a digital device.
