The Huawei P10 Makes A ‘Dazzling’ Debut

The Huawei P10 was finally unveiled by the company at the MWC (Mobile World Conference) 2017 and the phone is clearly a stunner.

Fitted with the crowd-winning Leica camera technology and offered in a range of bright colours, this smartphone is one worth checking out. Here’s why:


With a sleek and ‘Hyper Diamond’ metal unibody, the P10 looks dazzling. Similar to Huawei’s P9 smartphone, the P10 is fitted with a QHD resolution display of 5.1 inches. This stunning screen delivers sharp quality images and a myriad of bold colours. The touchscreen display has a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels.

Powering the Huawei P10 is a HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor as well as a RAM of 4GB. This processor is the same as what Huawei offers in the Mate 9 smartphone. With such powerful hardware, the phone will allow users to easily multi-task and easily switch from one app to another. For those who enjoy playing heavier Android games like Asphalt 8, the P10 is the perfect device to do this on.

As for storage, those who plan to buy the P10 will surely be happy with the 64GB of internal memory space that this phone offers. For those who still require more storage, the phone memory can be expanded up to 256GB using an external microSD card.

In terms of the camera, the Huawei P10 is fitted with an incredible rear primary camera of 20 megapixels. Created by Leica, the camera allows users to easily capture crisp images even in low-light conditions. This is a dual-lens camera with a 12 megapixel colour lens and a 20MP lens for monochrome. Together, the two lenses offer a higher quality image with a greater depth of field.

For selfie lovers, the front camera is of 12 megapixels delivers sharp image quality. This means that you can even enjoy clear video-calling with this device. The front camera also features a new shooting mode called Portrait Mode which can track the different contours and points on a face, thus improving low-light images.


Packing a non-removable battery that has a capacity of 3100mAh, the P10 offers a battery life of approximately one day. The phone comes with the latest Android v7.0 pre-installed, along with Huawei’s EMUI integrated over it.

The connectivity options for this dual SIM smartphone include GPS, WiFi, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, Type-C USB port and USB OTG. There are also a number of sensors inbuilt, such as a Proximity sensor, fingerprint reader, Compass Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and an Accelerometer.

The phone which is available in an array of colours including matte blue, matte gold, and with a standard stainless steel finish in green, gold, rose gold or silver. Expected to be priced at approximately Rs. 44,999, the Huawei P10 is sure to take the smartphone market by storm.
