The LG G6 Is Expected To Be A Stunner

The LG G6 has a lot to prove especially after a not–so-exuberant launch of its predecessor, the LG G5. When compared to its biggest contender, the Samsung Galaxy S7, LG is under a lot of pressure to confront its biggest competitor and the LG G6 is its best chance in the short-term. Let’s find out about the new LG G6 – the rumours, the specifications and the price.

Lg G6

Although the design of the phone is underway, we could still do some guesswork by looking at the new images posted online via a South Korean tech blog claiming it to be the new LG G6. If we go by the LG G5, we can definitely expect some power packed features in the new G6. The G5, with a 5.3 inch display, was LG’s flagship phone for the year 2016. Most of the times, screen sizes stay between 5-inches to 5.5-inches from corner to corner and LG is not ready to stay away from the current state of affairs. Hence, with G6, the company may not go any lower but rather upgrade to a 4K display in an effort to enhance the phone’s virtual reality performance.

The G5’s design had proved to be very controversial after there were reports that the aluminium unibody chassis felt like plastic as opposed to the company’s claim that it was made of metal. The company had stated that a paint layer made with plastic had resulted in the confusion. So, it has not been confirmed whether LG G6 will carry the same design or not. The best rumour about the new smartphone is that it will have a removable battery and an all-glass design which is very similar to Samsung’s flagship smartphones. It is also rumoured that the phone will run on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat OS and also feature wireless charging. There was also a YouTube video, which was posted in January, revealing some of G6’s features like a big screen but smaller body, water resistance, a “capture it all at once” camera and reliability.

Although there is no real pattern to LG’s smartphone launches, we could still expect the company to announce the new phone at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress Technology Trade Show just like last year’s LG G5 announcement. However, it is just a guess at this point in time. With a rumoured SD830 chip, the new LG G6 is expected to be priced at around £500. It is the release date of the LG G6 which we are most keen on finding out but the information is still unavailable.

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.

They should come out with upgrades for the specific phones and not for the separate Operating System. This way a special version for your phones specific hardware can be made
