The Power Packed Asus ZenPad 3 8.0

The prevalence of powerful hardware packed into compact devices, has made the need for a tablet a lot less necessary. However if you are looking for a larger device that is easy to work on and is light and portable too, a tablet is the perfect gadget to buy. Asus recently released the ZenPad 3 8.0 tablet which is not only power-packed but looks good too.

With an IPS touchscreen display of 7.9 inches and a resolution of 2048 pixels by 1536 pixels, the tablet has a clarity that makes it perfect for HD quality watching movies. The LCD display offers a 2K resolution and has viewing angles up to 178 degrees. This is a great feature that becomes useful when you are watching a movie with someone else or are working on a project with multiple people. It also has technologies like the Asus VisualMaster and the TruLife+ built into it for a more cinematic viewing experience.

The new Asus ZenPad is fitted with a Snapdragon 650 SoC Hexa-Core processor. This processor combines the quad-core 1.2GHz and the dual core of 1.8GHz, which makes multitasking on the device an easy and smooth process.

Powered by 4GB of RAM, the ZenPad 3 8.0 comes with the Android version 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed. It also features the Asus ZenUI 3.0 (user interface) integrated into it. The inbuilt storage capacity of 32GB can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

An Adreno 510 GPU (graphics processing unit) is fitted into the ZenPad 3 8.0 which makes it possible to play the latest games smoothly and without interruption, no matter how heavy they are.

A primary camera of 8 megapixels is placed on the rear and has integrated features like a Low Light mode that allows for capturing images that are 400 times brighter even in conditions with poor lighting. The front camera is unfortunately only 2 megapixels, which makes the clarity somewhat disappointing. So if you wish to use your tablet for making video calls, this may not be a great option for you.

Dual stereo speakers of DTS-HD audio are place placed on the front of the device for a maximum sound output. These high quality speakers have a virtual surround sound feature that makes listening to audio or watching a movie an immersive experience.

A range of connectivity options are possible when using this tablet, including 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well. All these features are powered by a battery that has a capacity of 4680mAh and offers a battery life of up to 11 hours. A Type-C USB port for charging sits on the bottom of the ZenPad.

Weighing at 320 grams, the Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 has sleek metallic frame with a faux-leather finish behind for a more luxurious look. Available in only black, the device is expected to be priced at approximately Rs. 18,000.

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.
