Tips For Using The App Google Calendar Mobile
We always need a calendar to figure out the day and date of the month.
Also to understand if have any event, meeting or occasion. For that we always refer to a diary and plan our schedule. To make our lives easier, Google has come with a Calendar Mobile app that syncs in with your email and updates you about an event or an appointment.
Here are few tips to have a better experience using it.
Whenever you create an event, Google Calendar adds notifications by default, we are sure you do not want to be intimidated about every single event every 30 minutes!! So you have to modify your default notifications for each calendar. For example, you might have a personal calendar, work calendar, and birthday calendar. Personalize notifications by tapping on any one of your calendars and modifying them under Default notifications and Default notifications for all day events.
Change the Default Event Duration
Are you bugged that every calendar event you create is an hour long? You can change the default in the Google Calendar app. Go to Settings > General > Default event duration.
• The options are:
• No end time
• 15 minutes
• 30 minutes
• 60 minutes
• 90 minutes
• 120 minutes.
Graphics are the most unique feature of Google Calendar’s mobile app. To see more graphics, Google needs details, and the more you add, the more you shall see. If you have a precise address for the event or appointment, a map will be show up for you against the event.
You might also see graphics for events that were updated in your calendar automatically from Gmail. Any time Gmail recognizes an event from an email, such as a flight confirmation message, it will be updated in your calendar.
Install Google Maps
When you can tap on a map in Google Calendar for a future appointment address, Google Maps shows you directions and a time approximation for driving or walking there. It really helps a lot.
Scroll through Your Day, and Yesterday, and Tomorrow
If you do not prefer the weekly view, there’s another way to scroll through your forthcoming engagements. Select the Schedule view, and start scrolling backward and forward in time.
Change time zones as you travel
If you go into Google Calendar Settings, tap General and then activate the ‘Use device’s time zone button’, the times on your calendar change as you travel, so if a meeting starts 3 am your time, it will say 3 am. Deactivate the option and scheduled events show up in the time zone they were set in.
