Upcoming Smartphones Powered By Snapdragon 820

When was the last time you heard a hype about one of the most suave SoC (System on chip) makers for mobile devices? The last time Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 810 probably? The “ultimate connected computing processor”?

Well, adding to its existing list of successful inventions, is the brand new Snapdragon 820 processor. Collaborating with Samsung as the manufacturing partner for this upcoming product is what has piqued everybody’s interest.

The upcoming second half of the year definitely houses some promising gadgets to look forward to. While the means of mass production is being figured, here is a list of five upcoming smartphones powered by Snapdragon 820, lined up to launch into the market this year:

Xiaomi Mi5 & Mi5 Plus

Expected to be announced in November, this Chinese Titan is in the process of developing a 5.3 inches display screen with a splendid 16MP camera at the rear, a 3030mAh battery life and a 4GB expandable RAM in a sleek Xiaomi Mi5. Whereas, the Mi5 Plus will comprise of a 20MP rear camera, a 6 inches Quad-HD screen and a 4GB expandable RAM as well.

LG G4 Pro

With an approximate display of 5.8 inches and a 4GB expandable RAM is all set to launch its ‘Super Premium’ smartphone. That is not all, it also claims to possess a 27MP camera at the rear, a battery capacity of 3600mAh and a corning Gorilla Glass 3, not to forget, an array of color options – now that definitely is a lure!

Sony Xperia Z5

To all the Sony lovers, this news is of umpteen happiness. Sony is seemingly announcing its Z series trio – the Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 and the Z5 Ultra; with a 5.5 inches display screen, 4GB RAM, a type-C port for USB, a 21MP camera and a battery life of 4500mAh. What’s more? It comes with an added feature of a fingerprint sensor and scanner – awesome indeed!

HTC Aero

This Taiwanese giant loves experimenting with different facets in technology be it with the HTC One M9 or HTC One M9+. But, it is equally secretive of it future launches unless it becomes an on-ground reality. Said to be launched as a semi-phablet with a 3-4GB RAM, keeping on the same lines for an efficient camera, the HTC Aero is rumored to have cutting edge specifications. A high-end device preferably!

Mstar s700

An upcoming entity in the already competitive market, this product is all set to create ripples with its new 5.5 inches HD full screen display with a 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 13MP rear camera, 3000mAh fast charging battery, a fingerprint unlock system AND Android 5.0 OS! Not bad at all for a new comer!

Mobile Upgrades: Killing The Product Before Its Time?

Have to agree. The speed of newer phone models within the same series and newer app versions lead to more thought put into buying decisions. Phone lines have a definite short shelf life

Frequently upgrading the software is a real problem as updating the software might cause your phone to lag because of the older hardware.
